I have been working at Sitel full-time (more than a year)

Pros

Lot's of opportunities to learn new technologies as well as receive one-on-one learning from other team members and management.

Cons

Expected to work around the clock. On-call duties. No additional compensation. No raise in over a year and a half. Medical benefits substantially increase every year, yet pay does not reflect increases. No bonus program. No stock options.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Perform quarterly reviews and budget for raises in order to keep the talent you painstakingly hire.

I worked at Sitel full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

None that come to mind, other than your coworkers are the best. At least it is a job in this economy.

    Cons

Everything from a nasty work environment to not able to get raises once you have hit the $10.00 an hour mark.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Sitel has a revolving door for a reason, your failure to retain employees. I know if the government were to look at the tax incentives that are given for the numbers of new hires versus the numbers of terminations they would think twice. Sitel could be a good place to work even for the low pay if they tried and stood behind their workers.

I worked at Sitel full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

    Offers 40+ hours a week.

    Cons

Everything about this place is low class. I was new to the area and needed something right away. Pay is EXTREMELY low $9.00 to start. Raises are a joke. This call center is the absolute definition of micro-management. Management (coaches) did the best with what they had to work with but, overall horrible place to work. Attrition was terrible, they even admitted they have a problem. People last typically a few weeks and are on to better things and better pay. NOT ONE AGENT ever once saw the "significant bonus" for retaining customers w/ 24 hour fitness in the entire time since the campaign started last year.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You get what you pay for. See what happens when you try offer a competitive wage as opposed to trinkets and candy for a job well done.
