I worked at Six Flags part-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Free access to the parks, a lot of time on the clock, make tons of new friends who also hate their jobs.

    Cons

Know what actually happens at the parks so you never want to visit. Management is poor and they work you long hours for very little pay. If you are seasonal there is no overtime so they feel comfortable giving you a 70 hour work week.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Start treating your employees and your guests better. This is a horribly corrupt company and it is clear that you only think about money.

I have been working at Six Flags part-time for less than a year

    Pros

Being a lifeguard you obviously get to save lives, almost every day at white water, and it is rewarding. Some of the perks are nice, discounts and what not.

    Cons

Lifeguards did not get paid well AT ALL. Other companies who had stands or services within the park had their employees paid from $9.00 to $11.00 an hour. We have to pay for our own training which was more than $100, and you have to pay for a uniform, which seems to be more expensive for girls than boys. Leaders are careless, and they do not seem to care about what is going on, as long as it looks like they are doing work. I have even heard of some taking out employees drinking. Not professional at all.
