A good job for high school students. Not much else.

    Pros

You get to park and visit the park for free, and you get a 35% discount on most things you buy. There are good hours during the summer and the leads/supervisors were once in the same position as you, so they know how it is. Trivial "benefits" in the form of discounts to other places.

    Cons

5 month long seasonal positions. Long hours, sometimes 8 or more a day, standing in the beating hot sun all day. Having to repeat the same script to upwards of 500 people a day. The guests are almost never pleasant but you must smile and show gratitude to them. There is also a strong sense that the higher management doesn't care about you as an employee. If you need to request a day off, it MUST be 3 weeks in advance, and even then, your higher ups might (read: will) deny it. If something family related comes up, you will get "points", which is their idea of a consequence system. Calling out gets you 15, and not coming to your shift without calling gets you 50. You're fired at 60 points.

    Advice to Management

Listen to employees, stop sucking. Have more presence.
