I worked at Six Flags part-time (less than an year)

Pros

Great learning experience. You experience something different everyday. Really enjoyed the perks that came with the position at Six Flags Fiesta Texas: free everyday admission to the park plus a guest, discounts, and free tickets.

Cons

Management needs major improvement. They do not care about the employees; they only want the job to get done. There is a lot of walking and working in the heat. Be prepared to get horrible tan lines and sunburn.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Again, management needs major improvement. They are not professional and lack proper training in all departments.

    Pros

Discounts at the park, free park access and buddy pass, then four free tickets after 200 hours of service

    Cons

Can be hot, noisy, and managers can pull you away from your site to train for other rides. Be adaptable and ready to be in a completely different environment. Minimal pay

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Show more encouragement. Sometimes a little goes a long way while standing up all day with strangers.

I have been working at Six Flags part-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Weekly Paycheck, on off days you can take a friend to six flags or hurricane harbor, free credit union account

    Cons

Never get to leave work at scheduled time unless bad weather. So you can't make plans because they can change your schedule at anytime. (start time or end of day). You can start at 10 am and leave close to midnight with only 1 break! You have to log in to check your schedule hourly just incase supervisor has changed your schedule. Can't have a second job outside of six flags due to this scheduling issue! You get marked tardy even if you have made arrangement for coverage until you can get there due to scheduling issue between both jobs! Because Six Flags make changes to schedule after schedule has been posted!!! No Exceptions to this rule I was told!!!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Need to take care of employees as they are the ones that are the front faces to six flags! Take responsibility for the kids you hire!
