Pros

Company moral is very positive and upbeat. They have NEVER furloughed a pilot in their 35+ year history. Often hear from other pilots that SkyWest is much better to work for, even without a union. Great Equipment that is VERY WELL maintained. Same CEO for history of company (Guiness book of records maybe?)

Cons

If you are a strong union person than SkyWest is not for you. Have also heard that if you have children they will not grant you any more leave other than FMLA.

Advice to Management

I would encourage the management to read the feedback left from the last pay package proposal.

    Pros

One of the best "Regional" Airlines to work for, based on revenue it is actually a "Major/National" Airline. Great flight benefits for travel virtually anywhere.

    Cons

Compensation is horrible, but this is an industry-wide problem (not SkyWest).

    Advice to Management

Let's not forget about growth within SkyWest Airlines rather than focusing just on SkyWest Inc. While ASA and ExpressJet (both owned by SkyWest Inc.) will be merging, the status-quo at SkyWest Airlines should not ignored.
