I have been working at Sleep Number by Select Comfort full-time (less than an year)

Pros

If you don't have alot of sales exprience and they like you, they will train you.

Cons

Believe it or not but I have never worked in a place with so many heavy set people. The customers who buy the beds tend to be heavy and many employees are. Find a better job, the commisions are 2.5% of sales which means the opportunity is about 30-35K per year, if you can stand hanging around all day... like a car lot.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay 3x the commision and I will stop looking for a new job.

I have been working at Sleep Number by Select Comfort full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

If you are in a high volume store then the pay is unbelievable. The products are amazing!

    Cons

Be prepared to work nights, weekends, and every holiday. This is not a great job for those with families, especially woman with small children. The pay is high but you will be expected to give up a lot of your life to earn it. There is a lot of pressure to perform to their standards. They get rid of non performers fast. Managers will be working lots of hours. They don't like to hear any opinions that vary from corporate. If you disagree with any of corporate ideas then you will be labeled as "not a team player."

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to your employees. They work in the stores and know what customers want and need. Respect employees time away from work. Working managers long hours burns them out and makes them less productive and lowers morale.
