Good people poor opportunities

Territory Manager (Current Employee)
Phoenix, AZ

I have been working at SmartPractice full-time for more than 3 years

ProsGood people to work for and with. Meaning they are nice to you and your workday is pretty much stress free.

ConsNo opportunity to advance if your in sales. If you start in sales you will end in sales. Pays commission only. You are given enough customers to eek out a living barely. To make alot of money you would need to grow your account base beyond what is possible for the average sales rep.A few that have been there a very long time and were given a large base of buying customers combined with a few they have obtained over a decade working there to generate enough revenue to make any real money. Any newbies will be saddled with a small base and a low commission margin. The short of it is its to much work for to little money. You can be a dental sales rep at one of the competitors and earn a base thats equivalent to what you make at this place.

Advice to Senior ManagementIt wouldn't be taken if I gave it. The company has a slew of veteran sales reps that have been there decades and will take whatever is given them so there is no incentive for management to make things better for the staff.
