I have been working at Smith's Food & Drug full-time (less than an year)

Pros

The only pros to this job were the wonderful people that I worked with. Also, the customers were fantastic to be around.

Cons

Kroger company, Smith's, are the cheapest people to work for. Store "Directors" are constantly shuffled around and every time a new one comes in, hours are cut and people lose their jobs.

I have been working at Smith's Food & Drug full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

I have worked in the ogden and Layton smiths, I really like the fact that customer's are so important to the company, if you work hard its easy to move up, and good pay. They do some awesome stuff for customers and go out of there way to make them happy

    Cons

They could be less greedy with there hours, the expect employees to get more done but cut more hours, mangers should be more positive to there workers but that depends where you go the Layton smiths all had great mangers and worked with you if you had something to improve on and I feel all manger positions should encourage there employees

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I think we should give more hours to departments including the front end, so they don't have to call up backup checkers
