I worked at Smithsonian as an intern for less than a year

    Pros

Great, enthusiastic people. Great program for interns, lots of inside activities plus networking and other career workshops. Fun place to work. Encourage meeting with other staff members to learn about job/opportunities/etc.

    Cons

Lots of "typical" internship work, including photocopying and collating paper, mailing boxes. Often not enough work to fill the day. No stipend for travel expenses.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Give interns more responsibility, they will impress you with their dedication!

    Pros

Loved the experiences, wide variety of duties

    Cons

Being from the midwest, I didn't enjoy working on Washington DC's climate and an over populated area.
