risk culture deteriorating

Managing Director (Current Employee) New York, NY

Prosable to take vacation days
weekends are your own
rare late hours

Consoverly political management structure
top down poor risk culture - good people being forced out / down
paris loyalists very out of touch with new york business
risk not represented at executive committee

Advice to Senior Managementhopes were high that an american ceo would mean a management structure and culture more in synch with the us businsses. But that has failed to be realized. the new / old head of risk's philosophy of allignmebt with the business is close to subjugating risk to a pro forma review function. risk senior management comes off like it doesn't take things seriously. during a recent presentation by the ceo of the global investment bank, the head of market risk fell asleep.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company
