Social Security Administration – “Internship Review”

Pros

The internship experience was overall very good. For one, the work hours had some flexibility. During the day, you get 30 minutes for lunch and two 15 minute breaks. In addition, the work environment is very low stress and there is no work to be done outside of the office. It is a friendly work environment. The pay was also very good for a temporary summer intern. If you return to the internship in subsequent summers, your salary grade is increased.

Cons

The only downsides to the job was that there was not too much challenge in the tasks given. Roles of the intern included the usual faxing, mailing, and basic administrative tasks.
