Pros

for someone in the food service industry it is more relaxed than a restaurant. The main functions of a management job are good. Corporate officers/employees are fair and reasonable.

Cons

Each unit/location has its downsides. Working in one location for more than 5 years is not a good idea. The campus service segment is a tough environment, and staying too long can make management take advantage of your knowledge. In addition if you want to take a promotion it is difficult to leave because upper mgmt at the location will have a hard time filling your shoes, so they are less apt to let you go.

Advice to Senior Management

Pay close attention to the GM. Some are very "fake". Tell you what you want to hear, but dont give you all the info upfront. Talk to the hourly employees, if possible. They will give you a million bucks worth of info!
