    I worked at Sodexo USA full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

    Good job for people with no working experience
    Good benefits but not many can afford them

    Cons

    Very low pay
    No structure or leadership
    No advancement
    Pay to park
    No perks
    No encouragement
    Constant focus on negatives
    Weak management team
    Management has supervisors do their job w/o pay increases
    Management staff receives high bonuses and pay and everyone else gets nothing
    No holiday gatherings or meals
    No support to move up in company
    There is no confidentiality in HR or management staff
    Management works together and openly looks and talks down to and about other staff
    Low moral
    Greed - this contract serves to pay management staff well and no other employees yet they expect top results from staff
    Constant payroll problems
    Reward programs only go to bartenders who already make more money than most of the staff
    None of the Sodexo values are represented in this division of the company

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Treat your employees better. Learn to pretend to care. Teach managers sensitivity and communication skills. Learn confidentiality.

    Pros

    If customer pays well, Sodexo passes that to the employees salary. Their benefits are good, for a contract company.

    Cons

    Vacation/holiday pay is dependent upon the customer account. Never hear from upper management.

    Look to employees for cross customer ideas and suggestions
