Pros

They take good care of their employees and are always looking for ways to help you succeed.

Cons

Sometimes they will give you more responsibility to give you 'experience' but not increased financial benefit and the work load seems to be barely manageable.

Advice to Management

Hire enough staff to make your department work the most efficient that it can.

    I have been working at Sodexo USA full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    It's a job during the bad economy. You meet new people because the turn over rate is so high. Even in a small account. The ones who stay are pretty solid workers and a couple of them are good people.

    Cons

    They try to run the company by fear and intimidation. It is hard to get anything to HR because the first two levels of management don't listen and hide any report they get. They have a policy that is only followed if it benefits their needs. A raise at this place is near impossible to get and when it does come don't expect much. It is the most unappreciative company to work for no matter how much you carry an account while management that does not have a clue how to manage people takes the credit.

    Advice to Management

    Check up on some smaller accounts and ask the employees to give their management a job review. Drug test some of these accounts you might be surprised on who fails and how many fail.

    Pros

    Work Monday Through Friday only Full benefit package Paid Holidays

    Cons

    Accounts poorly managed understaffed overworked employees benefits are not affordable on typical wages difficult to live on paid wages

    Advice to Management

    Make sure your accounts are properly staffed and don't spread your responsibilities too thin. Your Kudos program is a total joke - get rid of it and thank your employees with proper wages and raises. Promote hard working employees to keep them motivated.
