Pros

Steady employme.nt with no layoffs

Cons

all upper management was hired from the outside and have no clue how to work in this industry. Most managers have no clue how to do their jobs and rely on there lower paid representatives to do their job.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Give long term employees a chance to help you succeed instead of hiring from the outside.

    I worked at SoftLayer

    Pros

A huge knowledge base and good place to begin gaining experience in the job field.

    Cons

The pay had to be raised and too many different job functions that can be done by one person.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Increase pay and give people more responsibility within the company. Keep others busy within the company to prevent slacking.

No appreciation for hard working employees with career minded goals

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay attention to the fact that even though we may have worked for the previous EV1 owners it doesn't mean we don't deserve a chance to succeed and be promoted within.
