Software AG North America – “Software AG - the best that 1986 has to offer”
Pros
pays pretty well. no micromanagement. Can't think of that many. People are nice.
Cons
technology laggard, very cautious, IT is draconian (no IM, no personal software, no iTunes, lousy network), clueless management in Germany. Very distributed offices which makes communication very difficult. Clear trend to to move all development overseas where it's cheap. Very cost driven, not productivity driven. It's mainframe roots clearly show.
Advice to Senior Management
need some technical leadership, need to hire outside the company, all the talent is leaving or has left. Senior management is clueless when it comes to technology trends. Doing what Gartner tells you isn't leadership. It's being a sheep.
