    Pros

    Good place to learn knowledge. Most of the teams have very good development process. Archtects are awesome.

    Cons

    Nobody is concerned about your career path. After projects are finished, you may be relocated to somewhere else.

    I have been working at Sogeti full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Quick feedback on benefits. Retirement package is very good. 100% match for first 6% you contribute plus profit sharing up to 5%. Vacation is industry standard, pay is average, medical is high deductable. The cons are bad and detailed below, but for me personally the pros out weigh the cons.

    Cons

    Worst overtime policy around. You won’t find a consulting company with a worse policy. You do not get paid overtime and you do may not get any comp time if you work overtime. The policy is you don’t start accruing overtime until you have billed over 1800 hours. If you work a lot of overtime and then hit the bench you will receive no benefit for the overtime you worked. 2012 is the first year this policy was put in place. Many people complained to corporate but they are not listening. The CEO has mentioned or has been asked about in the past on national calls, but each time he brushes away the question and says over time policy is good for the employees. People are equally upset about the policy as they are with him trying to hid the fact it was done for cost saving. If you are going to work for Sogeti as the recruiter about it. Ask your comp time is affected by bench time, vacation time, going to a conference, taking a day away from the client to help with recruiting or sales… You will hear that all those things reduce the amount of comp time you will get and negate any overtime hours you put in. Many of us hoped that changes would come in 2013, but so far not luck. It’s the end of the year and we now feeling the pain of current comp time policy. Bonus program is good if you get it, up to 20K bonus. Has some flaws like anything you expense counts against your bonus potential. That includes paying for a certifcation, going to training, buying books, taking client for lunch, etc. Comp time and bonus program benefit the billing consultant. It all comes down to how much and how often you bill. Taking time away from client to take exams, training, conferances or helping out on sales calls are all discouraged by the comp time and bonus program. Play the game and you'll do fine, but try and be a "go getter" and you could easily get screwed.

    Advice to Management

    Fix the comp time policy, give us back overtime benefits. Review the bonus program and encourage employee growth over billing hours.
