Pros

* Nice team members. Everyone is willing to help one another.
* Company offers free soda and snacks.
* Employees receive personal work laptops. This makes it really easy for meetings rather than taking paper notes.
* Las Vegas office is located in a great area (Town Square Mall). Easy parking and plenty of food options.

Cons

* Way too low pay for a position that requires a degree. After NV taxes an individual in this position makes $10.225 an hour (that is without benefits being taken out).
* Poor management team. While the the actual team is friendly, management is not and are unwilling to help train the new hires.
* This position is expected to work daily overtime. Some working up to 12 hours a day. Keep in mind this is a salary position, not hourly.
* Other positions within the company have access to a bonus months before contract analysts. This position requires about 2 months of work that does not gain "points" towards monthly quota.
* This position requires "reselling" the contract/product. Unfortunately these analysts do all the work to get customer to re-sign a contract but collect no portion of the commission the sales rep makes.
* Position requires monthly and daily quotas. As mentioned earlier, these are reachable but not within 40 hours a week.
* Management leaves at 8th hour on the dot with no leadership direction. This causes much confusion to employees.
*Unfortunately the low pay for this position also means low paying management positions. As one can imagine, the type of leadership this brings in is not of high quality.

Advice to Management

CV management team- Professionalism and respect goes a long way. In no way, shape, or from is bullying/intimidation a way to get employees to follow your command. Set the example of how to be a team.

Advice to upper management- If you are requiring employees to have a degree and take on a heavy workload that requires overtime- (A) Be up front with employees when they are hired. Lying to employees will not retain them. (B) Pay employees more. A salary position is created with the thought of occasional overtime in mind. With this being said, $10.225 (after NV taxes but without adding benefits) is an insult to anyone that has an education. This hourly rate quickly diminishes to less than minimum wage once you work overtime. You will not retain good employees with this type of pay.

    Pros

great managers for sales out in the field and in the Home Depots, sales reps are friendly, fun and hard working

    Cons

Poor compensation, rules are constantly changing by demanding more and more from sales people, super high turnover, must meet quota even if on vacation or your fired this results in over work and everyone feeling that their job is in constant jeopardy even if their sales are excellent. Corporate just wants to dominate every roof and that is all they care about. Firing people is what corporate does best and they are proud of it.

    Advice to Management

Have a heart and some integrity, try a tiny bit of loyalty and accomodation to your hard working employees.

    Pros

I've recently begun working at SolarCity in an analytical role at one of their satellite offices. I had enough resources and training setup for me on the first day to start quickly, which is uncommon for a first day. The workforce there is very intelligent, motivated and has fun as well. Most importantly the values of innovation and environmental stewardship espoused by upper management are real and make their way to every aspect of business.

    Cons

It is still very much of a start-up atmosphere even in the HQ, so if you don't work well in changing and fast-paced work this might not be the company for you.

    Advice to Management

Keep innovating and stay intellectually diverse.
