I have been working at SolarCity full-time (less than a year)

some nice people to work with. benefits are good (if you can afford to have them). break room has some snacks and drinks.

growing fast..kinda good, kinda bad. PAY, PAY, PAY!!! The pay doesn't match the amount of stuff we're supposed to know or Pretend to know. Customer care rep base is 25,000 a yr. (salary - non exempt) works out to $12.01/hr. No overtime available. there is bonus pay..but don't expect it. The different schedule every month makes it hard to find a pt. time job (you could work anytime 6am-7pm) and you're required to work one Saturday a month. So one month you work 6am-3pm, next month you could be working 10am-7pm. Way to many hands touch an account; makes it frustrating not only for customers, but reps as well. Customer care is the catch all for all problems...but we're supposed to own the issue; reps in other depts. it seems feel inconvenienced if we have to reach out to them for an answer. Sells will tell customers just about anything to make a deal. Its a call're on the phone, allllll day. The initial training is laughable. alot of calls are people who apparently didn't understand what they were signing up for. Many non-english speaking customers...who are signing english written contracts.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Way to many things needs to change. The sells people aren't happy. I'd say the only employees happy here, are the ones not talking to customers every day on the phone

Doesn't Recommend
Neutral Outlook
No opinion of CEO
