    Pros

Compensation was better than expected. Team I worked with were very supportive. Those who possess the specific skills necessary (conversational skills with an inquisitive mind set) can do very well in this particular position. Great place for a recruiters. During the economic downturn, the business was extremely profitable so employees had job security.

    Cons

Management is not understanding. They will berate you without hesitation. I've never seen people cry so often. Your work is always questioned. Work training is non-existent. Individualistic culture with the higher ups which creates miscommunication and work flow conflicts very often. Recruiters are excellent at recruiting but terrible at leadership. I wouldn't recommend working here if you are looking to build on your career. Management focused on profits and not capabilities which creates conflicts with deadlines and unrealistic expectations.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management needs to support and build from within. Take on less work and better manage client expectations. Look to build for the long term.

Great place to learn and grow on the Agency side of Staffing

I worked at Solomon-Page Group full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Working with people that are money motivated helps drive you to be more successful. Definitely the gold standard in the Staffing business in NYC and as long as ownership stays involved in the day to day will continue to be.

    Cons

If your not entry level there aren't a lot of career development opportunities. Could use some sort of organized training so its less trial by fire for people coming from different environments.
