    Pros

Benefits, perks, sell enough cars there is good money

    Cons

Leadership runs place like a boys club. Have switched to a more volume based pay plan so you must sell more cars to even consider making a paycheck. Work environment is like a locker room.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees and put into practice their ideas. Don't get so defensive when an employee raises an issue.

    Pros

Prior to 2013, there were many pros, but Sonic Automotive is becoming just another big corporation with sights on profits only. The employees who make that happen for them are considered collateral damage.

    Cons

Commission compensation is an insult to sales employees who work 60+ hours a week. Management hires are ill equipped to handle the high rate of employee turnover, are unprofessional in shouting matches with employees while customers present, and turn a blind eye to unscrupulous employees.

    Advice to Management

Get a clue. Sales employees are valuable assets to the future growth of Sonic Automotive. Fight for them!
