Pros

Benefits are decent and start the day you do, no waiting period. Well known name but doesn't have the reputation it use to have.

Cons

Not enough promoting from within. Getting really tired of the more with less philosophy.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Start treating the employees better - the job market is getting better and you can't keep holding that over or heads. Also you should allow the current folks the opportunity to move up the ladder instead of bringing in buddies or previous coworkers from outside the company - it's starting to rub many people the wrong way.

    hard working employees and management

    good pay

    company has customer satisfaction as the number one priority

    nice being part of a globally recognized brand

    lack of strategic direction

    the doing more with less philosophy has a strangle hold on the company. Management and non-management alike are being burned out

    cuts in budgets and reduction in force tactics have really taken its toll on the company

    create a vision that the company can rally around

    Pros

    Solid company. As part of Sony and global company you know its going to be a standard setting, leading edge company. As part of that you get good benefits and maybe get to travel to other Sony DADC offices.

    Cons

    Management does not listen to employees even in regards to hiring decisions and the candidates' qualifications. In my opinion, their is a lot of misspending of money. They spend big money on mediocre solutions, but won't spend small money to give their employees the tools they need.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Listen to your employees when they tell you what could help them do their jobs better. Communicate more with your employees about some of the logic behind your decisions.
