Sony Electronics Employee Review

Current Employee – been working at Sony Electronics full-time for more than 10 years

Pros – Flexible work hours, job autonomy. Good pay, nice work environment, building and amenities.
Smart people for the most part.
Good benefits, but not on par with "Best Places to Work" companies

Cons – Sad to see old culture driving this company into the ground.
No incentives or reward to do better.
Company asks you to commit but they are not reciprocal
I don't have the confidence that Sony will be around in 8 or 10 years.

Advice to Senior Management – You can't just talk about being innovative, you have to advocate it.
Slashing research and headcount is only a temporary fix.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company
