“Sony is a great company to work for but mgmt is still stuck in the past”
Current Employee – been working at Sony Electronics full-time for more than 7 years
Pros – Great incentives/gifts/trips... no micro-managing & flexible work life... it's always fun to sell consumer electronics instead of a widget
Cons – Lack of recognition that competition is tough... pricing is higher than industry average... flat panel tv's are considered a commodity product by general public so high-quality differentiation is difficult
Advice to Senior Management – Let the past be the past and recognize that Samsung/LG have changed the landscape of the consumer electronics industry.
