I worked at Sorenson Communications full-time for more than a year

Pros

Easiest job I've ever had. No stress. Allowed to web surf & watch videos in between calls. Great part time job for a couple months, but long term will drive you insane.

Cons

No opportunities for advancement or development. Management doesn't care about the employees, they just want you to sit in a cubicle & stay on the phones all day. Not flexible with scheduling if you are full time. Boring!

Great company to work for if you plan on advancing. Or need a decent paying job while attending school etc.

    Pros

great pay for the work. Great office setting. very structured if you like that sort of thing.

    Cons

Management was very biased. Upper management didn't seem to know what was going on with middle management or how the employees on the phone felt.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Don't be so hypocritical.

Corporate might be okay, but IP Relay was horrible.

    I worked at Sorenson Communications

    Pros

IP Relay is a good opportunity for kids in their late years in high school and early years of college. It's not stressful, they are a 24/7 operation and there are a few opportunities to grow.

    Cons

The pay is horrible. Lots of really sketchy people working in IP Relay. Since it is open 24/7 and every day of the year, you often have to put in advanced notice for holidays, including Christmas. I think people were putting in time off in October to have Christmas off. Management favors certain employees - some people get fired for being tardy a few times when other people just don't show up or call in are allowed to keep their jobs. Inconsistency with management. They aren't sympathetic to employees undergoing tragedies. Numbers based. Quality is the last thing on their mind.
