I worked at South Lake Hospital

Pros

Really the only reason to work there is to pay the bills. Other than that it is your basic salt mine.

Cons

Endless work, lack of appreciation from management, marinal benefits poor raises, marginal doctors with authoritarian attitudes, very cliquish departments - particularly nursing. Unreasonable call demands for very poor renumeration (in fact, if you calculate mileage to and from the facility along with driving times it is quite likely that you will lose money when you get called in after hours!)

I worked at South Lake Hospital

    Pros

Local area hospital, good pay & benefits, worked well with college hours & requirements, & some staff were great to work with.

    Cons

To get hired, I felt you had to know someone. Sometimes they were not understanding to personal issues & some managers tended to show favoritism.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Remain therapeutic when talking with your team members. Remember that we all are human & that life happens, some people have personal battles that they fight every day that you may not understand or imply that it's unimportant.
