I have been working at Southern California Edison full-time for more than 10 years

Pros

SCE has great benefits, pension, 401k matching and tons of room for growth.

Cons

SCE tends to keep people that are non-contributors rather than documenting poor performance and going through the dismissal process.

I worked at Southern California Edison full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Very good compensation and benefits and good people.

    Cons

Very political environment. Still ruled by the 'old guard'. Lots of cuts and job uncertainty in the near future.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Seek to groom employees vs punishing employees for not fitting into the 'mold'. Lots of lots opportunities for short sighted management decisions.
