I worked at Southern California Edison full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great benefits and pay, pockets of brilliant, progressive thinkers and doers.

    Cons

Can be quite incestuous. Some corporate processes and procedures are struggling to come out of the stone ages, but the highly regulated environment is a necessary evil.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take integrity, competence, and innovation in the top ranks seriously. Leadership must absolutely model the behavior it desires from subordinates.

    No opinion of CEO

Lots of opportunity to learn and grow. Employees must learn to accept change is required.

I worked at Southern California Edison full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Edison gave me great training as a supervisor and a leader. Worked with really smart people. Fair amount of turnover allowed for numerous growth opportunities and advancement. Good pay, great benefits.

    Cons

Pulled the plug on San Onofre, what a waste. Lots of call ins to work after hours and weekends.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Work with PUC to maximize value to ratepayers, not just shareholders.
