I have been working at Southern California Edison full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Fairly good benefits. Opportunities are there if you are willing to do sell your soul to your manager and he/she is part of Sr Management "in crowd", you will be on the fast track and the salary opportunities will be ASTOUNDING.

    Cons

If you choose the wrong department your chances for movement will be very limited. There is too much favoritism and silos

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Walk the talk instead of just doing the "talk". Quit saying "doing less with less" when that is NOT the case.

I worked at Southern California Edison

    Pros

good benefits. some of the co-worker are great personally and professionally.

    Cons

some employees playing the books so it look good to management. Managers using favoritism in promotion. upper management mismanaged hiring and now a lot of employees losing their job to outsources (managed services).

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

the management missing the trend. a lot of companies bring work back on shore while they off shore. the management trying to satisfy investors by increasing dividends on the back of employees that make this company what it is.
