I worked at Southern California Edison full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Very high salaries. Adequate work-life balance.

    Cons

Poorly executed mass lay-offs. Management eliminated employees they did not like (ignoring the fact they were high performers) and kept the synchophants (ignoring that they are poor performers).

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get rid of incompetent managers who rule by fear and install managers who are competent and caring. That would go a long way towards preventing the next workplace shooting, instead of installing even more metal detectors and placing more armed guards everywhere.
