    I worked at Spansion

    Pros

Great coworkers...they're still my best friends today

    Cons

Not a good environment for personal and professional growth, unless you're into the dealing with mediocre engineers and full blown bureaucracy

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

the employees know what's really going on...so dont patronise them and show them a little more respect than they deserve

I have been working at Spansion

    Pros

In general, salary or compensation, in terms of base salary, was competitive. Also, the majority of the technical colleagues were generally intelligent and motivated.

    Cons

Company was consistently unprofitable for a very long time. That disaffected the opportunity for extra compensation in terms of bonus payments. Strategic direction from upper management also appeared to be unclear, as projects were started and abandoned many times.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

More strategic focus is needed. Management needs a better job of understanding the competitive and technological landscape, drivers, and evolution in order to place the correct bets for the success of the enterprise.
