Pros

It is a privately held company, so employees are not pressured to make decisions that impact the company or business that are beneficial in the short-term, but could cause damage (or missed opportunities) in the long-term. The people that work there and the culture is great - you truly do feel as though you are part of a team, and senior management knows your name and who you are.

Cons

Compensation is a drawback - but the staffing industry is notorious for low pay. It is also a smaller company, so they do not have a lot of the technological resources that you would find at bigger firms. You will not be interacting with the latest software, so you have to work to keep your computing skills up-to-date outside of the job.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Have a an organized way to solicit ideas from the staffing people in the branch - they interact with the business day in and day out. They observe trends and issues first, and oftentime come up with great ideas to solve issues or implement processes to be proactive in avoiding things that can negatively impact the business. Having an organized way for people to submit ideas and see that others' ideas have been implemented - with success - will go a long way in improving morale and soliciting great ideas that will drive the business.

    Pros

    SPARKS is the definition of a "family environment". The people that work here are amazing and everyone truly cares about one another and the success of the company as whole, in addition to their own.

    Cons

    When your product is people, every day is something new! The industry is tough and is not for everyone.

    Pros

    The recruiters were helpful and aggressive in finding us employment. They came out and visited the work sites and rewarded their employees and overall they made certain that the position they found you was a good fit.

    Cons

    The pay could of been higher for the type off positions that they placed you in. I believe there should of been more honesty about the length of your assignments. Some of the positions would have you temping for at least 3 years without being made permanent.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    More honesty and openness regarding the length of assignments. More opportunities for positions that could become permanent. And if you have employees who are temping for a year or longer than they should be given adequate raises and benefits.
