Spherion – “Are we closing?

Pros

Its such a big company you can kinda hide in the flock, if you have a branch manager that doesn't ride you and is layed back, maybe knowing that they will be leaving soon too.

Cons

Its a sweatshop. The job market is the worst it has been 35 years. We have hardly any job orders, or chances to make money. The company could go broke it the economy doesnt ad jobs. We only make money by filling jobs - you realize how hard that is to do right now? All our clients are cutting back on the number of people employed to save money - so we are hurting. And I see no end in sight. If we go into a depression then staffing firms could just go out of biz. We have no inventory, patents, software or other ways to make money - we have to fill jobs, lots of them, or the revenue is ZERO.

We are so broke, that we can't spend a dime. Our competors seem to have more money and are able to out spend us on advertising and promotions to get biz.

All the recent mergers are wastes of time and money.

by Bad Branch and Regional Managers:

I agree. And i think the management is too layed back. The regional manager was running his own staffing company with three of our employees involved and no one held his manager accountable. Mangement does not lead, they just give their friends the keys to their office and let them do whatever they want. They show their loyality that in exchange for trust that is for sure. No accountability. Managers rule by being in a club not by their ability to manage. .
