I worked at Sport&Health part-time for less than a year

Pros

I worked in the Washington D.C area and the pay was pretty good once you got your pool operators license in the aquatics side.

Cons

Mostly the people you work with won't be the most enjoyable folks. In my experience the people who run each individual building aren't the most agreeable folks.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Plan better.

    I have been working at Sport&Health full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    People you work with, people you meet, the overall excitement of helping others improve their lives, free membership, the management, especially the GM some of the nicest people you will ever meet. Solid core values

    Cons

    awful/long hours for low base salary, high turnover rate, don't keep all their promises. They say they will promote within but honestly they don't always do that.

    Keep Promises and better pay for the hours worked

    Pros

    Co-workers are great and were the only thing that kept me coming back to struggle through another day of living in the "circus".

    Cons

    Revolving door of managers leads to not being able to gain any traction as each new manager has a different vision. Management refused to make preventative maintenance required to keep my equipment functional.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Listen to your people. They do care about your members and want S&H to succeed.
