Current Employee – been working at Sprint Nextel full-time for more than 8 years
Pros – Dan Hesse and upper management are really working hard to turn Sprint around; definate progress has been made in the last 2-3 years.
They have some innovative programs in place to help the company (i.e. Thank You Thursday).
The Sprint campus activity, fitness, and health center are great!
Good pay.
Cons – 401K matching plan is minimal (approximately 1%).
Medical, dental and vision plans are not as good as other companies around town.
Perpetual lay-offs.
Career growth potential is not really there.
Advice to Senior Management – If there is anyway to restructure instead of laying people off, that would be ideal to help build morale.
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company
