Sprint Nextel – “Progressively Worse Year After Year”

The salaries are competitive and the benefits are diverse. Processes are acceptable and the balance given between work and personal time was positive.
Cons
No growth potential, no recognition for a good job done, very bureaucratic, employees at company are chosen based on political reasons and not on ability (thus some very bad individual contributors, managers, and executive level people remain), in-fighting between legacy Nextel and Sprint employees, zero culture, lack of employee engagement / empowerment, one bad CEO after another, lack of trust, no risk taking.
Advice to Senior Management
Dan Hesse needs to be replaced as well as any individual that is in a leadership position that still has attitude issues towards legacy Sprint or Nextel. Try to actually do something innovative rather than saying something is when it isn't (i.e. Simply Everything is Simply Old-Hat). Be a leader in the field instead of a follower.
