I have been working at Sprint full-time (more than 3 years)

Pros

Pay is really good because of the commission checks at the end of each month, plus the hourly is great, friendly atmosphere, benefits are good, free phone service. You meet a lot of cool co workers and customers and if you're young its great because you're selling cell phones which anyone from 18-38 can appreciate technology and helping people understand it.

Cons

There are alot of metrics you have to attain to hit your goals and be eligible for a good comission at the end of the month. They've raised the quotas alot from when i first started in 2008. If you work at a service and repair store you get alot of the same complaining customers, coming in complaining about their phones.

    Pros

    Great Benefits
    Free phone service
    Lots of vacation time off
Cool to be on the cutting edge in a highly competitive industry
Know what's coming months in advance
    Decent pay
    Lot's of opportunity to grow
    Tuition Assistance
    401k matching
Lot's of mentoring if you show potential

    Cons

Quotas the same across the board even in sub-prime depressed markets
Management has good ole boy clubs
VERY hard to move cross channels
Sprint 4G is nonexistant, and you will hear customers complain about this on a daily basis
Service and repair stores have unhappy customers which leads to decreased customer satisfaction, which makes up a huge portion of paychecks
    Have to work on holidays
Punished to taking time off if you don't hit your mark

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Start visiting stores more and actually interact with the representatives that you have employed, rather than just look at everyone in the district like a number. There may be great hidden management material in the field, but they never will know because they don't take the time to get to know anyone in their districts.

    Pros

Fair compensation however there are many different metrics you need to uphold.

    Cons

It's not what you know, it is how much you are willing to kiss your managers butt that really matters.

    Doesn't Recommend
