I have been working at Sprint full-time for more than a year

Pros

Ok pay and benefits. As a lead I made between 42,000. 00-45,000.00 with a college degree. It is more than most of my friends made right out of college. Great place to get sales experience.

Cons

Not much room to move out if retail even for college grads. Retail hours and disgruntled customers can contribute to a negative feeling towards Sprint.

    I worked at Sprint full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

    after the merger, Reston basically shut down, so the telework options were great. Everything moved to Kansas City so if you weren't willing to make the move, you had no career growth.

    Cons

    The entire merger was terrible. Nextel was very entrepreneurial while Sprint was old boy and process driven. The two cultures did not match and neither did the technologies.

    Overland Park is not the center of the universe.

    Pros

    Unfortunately, free cell plan is only benefit.

    Cons

    Pay is below market when compared to competitors. Lower level management is unprofessional. They make rules as they go. They bully employees to meeting unrealistic goals. Good employees get overlooked for promotions due to it being about who you know regardless if you are educated and qualified.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    None due to no changes after numerous surveys completed by employees. Still mediocre pay with no raise in the last five years and increase in benefits.
