Pros

Good benefits, flexible work schedule (for most corporate employees), work/life balance. There are advancement opportunities and many employees have high tenure. A high number of employees have a sense of loyalty to the company and believe in its value.

Cons

Micromanaging is a huge issue right now due to the pressure to make sales quotas or validate someone's position. They lack much needed interdepartment communication on key initiatives. Each department only focuses on their needs rather than a company-wide vision. Executive management teaches not to manage by the numbers but that's all everyone does, and it comes from the top down. The commission structure is so confusing that no Sales Rep knows how they get paid (corporate sales, not retail).

Advice to Management

Empower your employees and they will be more motivated to excel. Don't manage by the numbers. Trust your exempt level employees to manage their time wisely and reward by their accomplishments rather than micromanaging.

    Pros

    discounted rate plans and phones
    decent insurance and 401k options
the job can be very fun playing with new technology all day and showing it to customers
For the amount of work and if you like sales the pay is pretty decent.

    Cons

company is heavily in debt and it shows by the management style and the lofty sales quotas. Angry customers get very frustrated by the lack of organization between the stores and customer service. Customers repeatedly get offered things by customer service or third party locations or vice versa and then go to a corporate store or third party retailer to take advantage only to find out the offer is only valid at one type of location and they were not told about that.

    Advice to Management

focus more making the sales quotas fit the current situation in each market.

    Pros

    - Employee phone lines $40 per line for friends and family.
    - Benefits
    - Works with schedule
    - Growth opportunities to those who perform well
    - Great short term employment if attending college (1-3 years)

    Cons

    - Company lowering commission structure
    - Some times ridiculous goals and standards
    - Terrible cellular coverage in tri-state
    - NO LTE in NJ for LTE based phones (Sprint is at its second generation of LTE phones and still no LTE in New Jersey.)
    -

    Advice to Management

The service is so terrible in certain area's reps have to turn down sales because service will not work and to avoid churn. Certain products do not work and cell phone reception and network is god awful. The company expectations are not realistic for what the service is in my working area.
