I worked at Sprint full-time (more than 10 years)

Pros

Sprint was a very good place to work. They are very employee friendly and the benefits are outstanding.

Cons

The company has poured millions of dollars in to the Network over the last 3 years and somehow the it in not improving as quickly as advertised.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

As a company if Sprint is looking towards increasing their Customer Satisfaction Index Scores they have to pull back on outsourcing to other countries. These 3rd party vendor agents very often over promise and under deliver. This constantly creates a negative experience for both the customer and the agent taking the call back on the broken promise.

    I worked at Sprint

    Pros

    - Pay was decent but everything else with it wasn't worth it
    - free phone and discounts for friends

    Cons

    - Hours Scheduled
    - Focus on numbers instead of customers
    - Infrastructure needs work
    - Culture (you get what you pay for)
    - Retention and commission is a bad combo.

    Focus on the customer.

    Pros

    Commission, building of relationships, time-off

    Cons

    Customers, horrible promotions, ineffective management, lack of consumer retail knowledge from consultants

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Consider the compensation of employees more seriously (they're worth it), make promotions less difficult to sell (especially Framily deal), and consider training management to be helpful to their employees rather than condescending and threatening. Management should be serious but yet sincere when talking to employees.
