I worked at SquareTrade full-time (more than an year)

Pros

Cheez-its, coca cola, shuffle board, mandarins

Cons

Work-life balance does not exist at this company.
They promote people who are not capable of doing their job correctly
There is absolutely no room for growth, regardless of them advertising that.
Customer service is NOT their first priority just an FYI
They are penny pinchers to the MAX
They change policies like crazy, which equals angry customers
Flexible schedule? I think not...
The culture at this place has been flushed down the toilet & the toilet overflowed from so much sh*t

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire people who know how to do their job effectively and have good personalities

    Friendly people, smart people, lots of free food, pretty often team-building events

    Cons

    Some departments allow for much more growth than others, remote managers make for interesting/lax hours, "get it done" mentality

    I have been working at SquareTrade

    Pros

    SquareTrade is one of the few companies that truly puts the customer first. They will go above and beyond to create a great customer experience. SquareTrade understands/utilizes all avenues of Social Media well.

    Cons

    Definitely growing pains of going from a small company to a medium sized company. They need to determine how to make growth fit with values/needs of the associate.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Continue to keep the customer first, but do not forget about the associates who make the company run.
