Pros

Hard to get fired once pass probation. If you follow the rules and do your job, then you get job security.
Working around fun people. Perfect for getting experience in extremely past-paced environment. Steady paycheck without fail. Never got affected by any economic crisis. Pay is guaranteed regardless of work amount.
It's possible to go from $11 per hr to 18-19 in 1-2 years by passing internal exams.
Looks amazing on the resume.

Cons

Not enough training. Have to figure out things as you go without proper manuals.
Always lacking people, as a result few are doing the job of many.
Dead end job with not being able to exercise much of training\experience.
Company's policy about support employees - "we can hire more". Despite steady & secure employment, constant feeling of being disposable.
No incentives whatsoever for working more\harder\showing initiative.
Although there is a system of getting higher wage with moving through Tiers, most of the time there is no way to do that even if you really want because the person responsible checking\developing exams is doing thousand other things and has no time.
Individual good performance almost never gets any praise. Numbers oriented management, despite all other areas have to suffer for it like employee satisfaction and customer service.
Very high turnaround rate.
Praise from upper management is a joke - has nothing to do with complexity of the task or effort used to resolve it.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Raise starting wage.
Provide day to day incentives for harder work
Start thinking overall about making people stay and not use company as a stepping stone

    Pros

Doing Tech Support for Squirrel Systems is much more than that. You learn pretty advanced DBA and Network config skills

    Cons

Not much flexibilty with regards to Work/Life balance

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Higher compensation to improve employee retention. Pension benefits and improve culture. There is a lot of disintegration between teh Solutions Centre, and all other departments. Corporate events are organized for everbody in the company MINUS the solution centre

    - Casual culture
    - Great supervisors who are easy to approach and talk to, both on and off the floor.
    - Pleasant Human Resource Generalist who is friendly, easy to approach, and very dedicated to solving any problems that may arise
    - Great monthly incentives for those who work hard.
    -Big BBQ at every quarter
    - Friendly staff : the people who work here are ambitious, motivated and most importantly fun to be around.

    Cons

No major cons for this company.
Perhaps they could have a career development plan in place for those who wish to move within the company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Openly communicate with staff and obtain constructive feedback to continue to move the company in the right direction. For example, maybe do annonymous surveys, face to face meetings with current employees to get their input on important matters that effect employees on a day to day basis.
