I have been working at St.George Bank full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

The people are by far the best part! Decent pay also, especially when moving around in the company.

    Cons

Now it's all very structured, the Westpac way I guess. But if I didn't know better I wouldn't be unhappy as it is.

I worked at St.George Bank full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Good team feeling at lower ranks
Can get away with pretty much anything if not in management

    Cons

Abuse by staff of senior management's drive to be a "best employer" leads to middle management powerless to make things good for those actually prepared to work.
No support to do the right thing, just to do what looks good to external "moderators"

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop being so concerned about being awarded the best by external agencies and be the best instead for your employees that do the right thing. Support your line managers to do the same.

    Neutral Outlook
    No opinion of CEO
