Great work experience, but need more young, eager, full-time employees (like me).

I have been working at St. John's University part-time

Pros

Many people are enthusiastic and work very hard to help students, professors and/or colleagues

Cons

Even after getting rid of loads of faculty and administrators a year ago with the buyout, there are a bunch of tired, unproductive people left over. Too many adjuncts and part-timers.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire more fresh, new employees with progressive ideas to strengthen the University in the eyes of incoming students.

I have been working at St. John's University

    Pros

You meet amazing people to work along with. Very friendly and caring (for the most part).

    Cons

Management is horrible, they spend so much money on useless things instead of taking care of their employees. Departments are micromanaged, you can't get things done because of it. Senior management never takes any faults, instead it's passed down to directors-managers-employees. Overlook for employees needs.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get a new one!!!! And prioritize things, remember employees and students come first, everything else is second.
