I have been working at St. Jude Medical Center

Pros

I have had the pleasure of working with some great people. Although a lot have left. The benefits are good.

Cons

Rapid changes, little or no warning. Get patients processed at break neck speed. Get them in then get them out.

I have been working at St. Jude Medical Center

    Pros

Strong leadership, excellent benefits, great pay, fair treatment of employees. One of the things that employees always say what keeps them at St. Jude are the company's Values and the people.

    Cons

The environment is highly conservative (women still have to wear nylons if any part of their legs show in their outfits) and often politically sensitive.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be careful to not focus too much on the fastest, most efficient way to do things and have patients either become "numbers" or lose touch with the customer in the process.

I have been working at St. Jude Medical Center full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Growing hospital with great Doctors and good reputation behind it.

    Cons

Hospital that runs mainly on donations, cut backs are felt harder when they expand on the hospital.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Maybe ask the employees that do their exit interview would consider coming back to St Jude, if they would like to receive a call back. A sort of stand by, with their permission and on their length of time to be called, in case things didn't work out with the new job. More of an Human Resources issue.
