I have been working at St. Louis Post Dispatch

Pros

Very little pros to working there today -- that is if you survive the quarterly layoffs. At one time I would work any shift, never counted down to vacations -- I had so much pride in my job. Then Lee stepped in.

Cons

Working for Lee Enterprise. Let this be a lesson to anyone majoring in business on how to run a company into the ground. Lee does it perfectly.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

To those who are left, god speed. The last one out, please get the lights. A once great company gone.

I have been working at St. Louis Post Dispatch full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Great work-home balance and people. True team environment. Always exciting as the industry grows with technology and adjusts to readers' habits for consuming news and information in more ways.

    Cons

Struggle to overcome the negative stigma of the 'death of newspapers' from those outside the industry. Tight budgets.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Continue fighting the good fight to show the value of what we do!
