Stage Stores – “the Old Stage Stores was great”

Pros

great employees, great environment, great location in Houston, good at balancing work and personal, understands that family comes first, cafe is very convenient and food is good, there is a fun committee that does an excellent job trying to make the company fun

Cons

no vision benefits, new management team is bringing moral down, associate buyers do not receive bonuses like most retail companies which means there no motivation to run a profitable business, no profit sharing or stock options, everything in the cafe is styrofoam which they do not understand is not bio- degradeable

Advice to Senior Management

bring the good moral back, people are not happy anymore, get too strict and political; Jim Scarborough is great but its the new management that doesn't understand that Stage Stores is not May Company
