I have been working at Stanford University full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Excellent resources, well funded institution. Progressive culture, amazingly beautiful campus. Diverse groups, top notch thinkers.

    Cons

Expensive area, tendency toward highly specialized labor rather than broad tasks. Poor integration of staff and faculty, limited opportunities to take classes or develop skills outside of specific job requirements

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Create more robust feedback loop at all levels of staff involvement; create a different model of workflow that enables mid-level changes (meso) rather than macro/micro changes only

    Recommends
    Positive Outlook
    No opinion of CEO
