I have been working at Stanford University

    Pros

Great people, some innovation, the chance to take on new responsibilities. Wide array of event formats. Ability to introduce some change.

    Cons

So-so pay. No upward mobility. No incentive. People who do nothing get treated almost the same as those who work incredibly hard and care about their work.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't focus on the position focus on the person. Being told we don't look at the person, doesn't motivate.
