The people I worked with were fantastic. They were so interesting and helpful.

Cons

I didn't like working under some professors, who were very arrogant and demeaning.

I have been working at Stanford University full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

They value work-life balance, and provide amazing benefits including large contribution to 403(b) plan. The medical, dental and vision plans are very reasonably priced and offer great coverage. Salary seems to be a little above market. People seem to enjoy their jobs.

    Cons

It can be hard to get promoted, especially within the same department. Upward mobility requires an employee to apply for a higher level job in a different department. Parking is expensive and hard to find, although they do offer free train passes to all full time employees.
